Djarum Foundation through its Beswan Scholarship Program launched the community empowerment initiative, bringing the talented scholarship awardee (the Beswan) to collaborate and took part on solving challenges faced by communities in 10 cities across Indonesia. In this program, Semut Nusantara provides assistance and mentorship for the Beswan so they can come up with unique solutions and hollistic approach towards the communities. The program ran from May up until August 2017 with approximately 250 beneficiaries which include cooperatives, community/women groups, farmers, etc.
